This hand is good to practise on if you use tips.
If you use sculpting forms, it’s virtually useless.
I’ve tried sellotape, masking tape and electrical tape and none of sticks properly onto the hand. The tapes constantly slides back and forth which means your form is constantly moving.
Avoid if you are a sculptor. I’m left with an expensive mistake.
I’ve been through loads of practice hands and none were quite right! This one is perfect! I love the size of it, the tips slide in easily but stay in firm. The cuticle area is perfect (not too thick but not thin enough that it splits every time you put a tip in). Being able to cure individual fingers is a massive bonus. The stand works great, stays in place firm!
As a Nail Tech in training; I was looking for a lifelike hand to practice nails on. I was undecided for a long time before I made the jump to buy this and boy, am I glad I did!
Each finger comes off it’s spring if needed, the whole unit moves like a real finger would and the wells make it easy to slide out the nail when you’re ready to replace with a new practice tip!
Highly recommend to anyone on the fence 💜
This practice hand is so lifelike! It has helped me tremendously with my cuticle application. My nails have minimal to no lifting now I’m not flooding my cuticle area.
The hand is silicone so you are not able to stick nail forms to it... luckily online I found a tip to use either duck tape or electrical tape around each finger. Right around the top knuckle. This stays and slows the form something to stick to.
