Nail Art - Blooming Gel Design
Lets's create a simple trending blooming gel nail tutorial design. This nail art look is so easy but looks really complicated. So let's break it down together.
TOP TIP: Re-create this in ANY Colour way you choose depending on the season or nail set you are creating. Nail art can be super fun and expressive
How to create the Nail Art
After you have completed your preferred base whether it be Acrylic, gel polish or builder gel complete the following steps to create the look:
- Lay down your base colour of choice, you want to start with a lighter colour, and cure in the light
- working on one nail at a time apply a thin layer of blooming gel DO NOT CURE
- using your dotting tool pick up the other 2-3 colours at random and blob them onto the nail. Let them spread in the blooming gel then cure in the PRO+ Light.
- Come in with your smaller dotting tool and add small scattered dots layering them on top of your other dots. Cure them in the light
- Apply a gold nail art foil at random into the tacky layer of your cured gel.
- Seal in your design with super gloss gel to coat and cure for 60 second in the PRO+ LED Light
- Finish off the nail set with your favourite scent of Glitter Planet Cuticle oil.
Top Tips for your Blooming gel Nail Art
If you’re new to blooming nail art gel, these tips will help you get the best results every time.
Less is more with blooming gel.
Applying too much product can cause your nail art design to spread too quickly and lose definition.
Top tip:
Use a thin, even layer and avoid flooding the nail this gives you more control over how the nail art design blooms.
Blooming gel only works before it’s cured.
Apply your colour directly into the uncured blooming gel and watch it spread.
Top tip:
Don’t cure the blooming gel before adding your design this is the most common beginner mistake.
Control the Bloom Time
The longer you leave it, the more it spreads.
Want sharp detail? Cure sooner.
Want a softer, diffused look? Let it bloom for longer.
Top tip:
Watch the nail art design closely blooming happens quickly! Not all gel polishes bloom the same.
Highly pigmented gels will give you stronger, more visible designs.
Top tip:
If your design looks faint or disappears, your gel colour may not be pigmented enough.
Let the blooming gel do the work.
Dragging the design too much can muddy the effect.
Top tip:
Apply your pattern lightly and allow it to naturally spread for that signature blooming effect.
Once you’re happy with your design:
- Cure fully
- Finish with a high-quality top coat
- This locks in the design and gives a smooth, glossy finish.
Blooming gel is perfect for both beginners and experienced nail artists looking to create detailed designs with ease.
With a little practice, you’ll be able to create everything from soft blends to bold, statement nail art in seconds.
💜 Glitter Planet Tip:
Blooming gel is all about experimenting, no two designs will ever look exactly the same, and that’s what makes it so unique.
